I started my collection in 2010 when I purchased Nature\'s Spiral from Terese Nielsen\'s website. Now, many paintings later, whenever I see some great art on a card, I always think, \"I hope it\'s not digital, and wonder if it is available!\"
Hi ! Here's my collection of Magic original art.
I'm always open for a trade, but I am quite attached at many of my pieces (and their artist). Mahamoti Djinn and Court Street Denizen aren't going anywhere.
Please contact me if you have (or have leads to) :
- Mahamoti Djinn (Dan Frazier and Eric Peterson)
- Bronze Tablet (Tom Wanerstrand)
- Moonlit wake (Greg & Tim Hildebrandt)
I\'ve just recently started collecting and these are the few pieces I have picked up. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the following pieces and/or if they are for sale please private message me with price or info, Ancient Den, Great Furnace, Seat of the Synod, Tree of Tales, Vault of Whispers, Darksteel Citadel, Mox Opal, Inkmoth Nexus, Frogmite, Master of Etherium, Etched Champion
These are all sketches and paintings by Magic artists. The paintings were all reproduced on Magic cards. The sketches were used as design approval undersketches (though a few here and there were rejected in favor of another artist\'s interpretation or the card illustrated was removed from the set before it was released) for published card art or Duelist spots or Dragon Magazine covers or set rulebooks. You will find that more than a few of the pages photographed here have original undersketches for more than one card. For the most part, they\'re grouped with others of the same edition, and for the most part, the editions are in chronological order.
This gallery represents over a decade of collecting original Magic artwork and a lifetime of future enjoyment. I hope that everyone viewing this site takes as much pleasure in seeing these pieces as I did in collecting them.
